About

The bustling Inner Harbour is a vibrant pulsing area that means so much to so many.

It’s entertainment central with Eastland Group creating innovative and exciting events that appeal to locals and visitors.

In the past December’s action-packed birdman and harbour swim events have tapped into the thousands of people in town for the annual Rhythm & Vines music festival and continues to grow, as does April’s Jazz, Blues and Roots Festival.

If it is wonderful food and wine you are after, look no further than The Wharf Café and Bar, Lone Star and Soho, with each catering for a wide sector of the community.

The Gisborne Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club boasts one of the largest memberships in the country and is enjoyed by families and members year-round.

Fishing competitions means weigh-ins of giants from the deep, captivating young and old alike.

And even without the temptation of a fish to look out, many find it the perfect area to wander around on a beautiful summer’s evening.

Businesses too are quite at home with a number of boutique and leading edge companies looking out over some of the most enviable backdrops in the city.

Since taking over the area, Eastland Group have continually reinvested into the Inner Harbour, improving buildings for tenants and making it a better place for the wider community. Eastland Group is working closely with Gisborne District Council to continue development of the Inner Harbour area.

In 2008 Eastland Group bought the marina berths, which are leased to private boat owners. There is opportunity for visiting yachties and boaties to tie up at the fingers, with prior arrangement.
